Simple Plan was created when Lianne Owen and her family began looking for their new home in Westport, CT. After exploring the many options available to them, she took the ambitious leap to design and build her own family home.

Westport is a town that offers an array of beautiful historic and modern homes, and is renowned for being a community that cultivates art and creativity. As a place that already fully embraces creative innovations and experiments with style, it was the perfect setting to build a new home which would include modern design trends from across the US, and around the world.

After a decade in London working in licensing for children’s publishing and TV properties, Lianne Owen moved to New York City and joined the residential new development sales team at one of the industry’s leading real estate firms.
After taking time out to raise her three children, Lianne founded Simple Plan Home Builders, a development firm focused on building thoughtfully designed, modern family homes. Drawing on her own experience building her family home, she brings a practical, design-led perspective to the process. She also attended the New York School of Interior Design to further strengthen her skills in spatial planning, materials, and interiors. Since launching, Simple Plan has added three distinctive, design-forward homes to the Westport landscape.
Lianne also leads LO + Team at Coldwell Banker in Westport, a full-service real estate team known for its local expertise, responsiveness, and straightforward approach. Together, they work closely with both buyers and sellers, offering clear guidance and a strong understanding of the market at every stage.
